Marte Amrine

Athletic Director & Head Football Coach


White Settlement ISD hired Marte Amrine, Jr. as its new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach during a special school board meeting on Jan. 27.

Head Coach and Athletic Director for Maypearl ISD the past year, Amrine was ranked second as Dave Campbell's Texas Football’s Best First Year Coaches. A coach and educator for the past 19 years, Amrine served as an Athletic Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator in Dripping Springs ISD for nine years.

Head Baseball Coach for Flower Mound for three years, Amrine was a Defensive Coordinator in Brock, Seguin and New Caney ISDs. His experience also includes serving as a Head Powerlifting and Head Track Coach.

He earned a Bachelor of Behavioral Science Degree in Secondary Education from Hardin Simmons University, where he was a four-year letterman and defensive end.

Coach Amrine and his wife, Rachel, have two sons, Bryson, a sophomore at Texas Tech University, and Brock, a senior in high school.

Athletic Coordinator

Josh Richards serves WSISD as the Girls' Athletic Coordinator and Head Softball Coach. Coach Richards has spent the past 4 years at Brewer as a US History teacher and volleyball and softball coach. Previously, he led successful softball programs at Nolan Catholic and Cedar Hill High Schools, while also briefly serving as an Interim Athletic Director at Nolan Catholic. Coach Richards has a tremendous passion for building positive relationships with his students, athletes, colleagues and the WSISD community.  He, his wife, Kalan, and son, Davis, are looking forward to the incredible things ahead for Brewer Bear Athletics!

Assistant Athletic Director & Facilities Coordinator

Ashley Foster was the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Athletic Coordinator at Heritage High School in Frisco ISD, where she has served for the past five years. Before joining Frisco ISD, she was the Head Volleyball Coach at Glenn High School in Leander ISD. Ashley began her coaching career in Wylie ISD.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Secondary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she was a four-year letterman on the volleyball team. She later earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Ashley and her husband, Daniel, have four children: Isaiah, an eighth grader at BMS; Naomi, a fourth grader at Fine Arts Academy; and twins Elizabeth and Jordan, who are in kindergarten at West Early Learners Academy.
