One hundred Brewer High School student leaders participated in Ignite2unite’s 4A Workshop on Aug. 20, designed to teach students how to actively lead student culture.
Angel York said participants learned how to be more positive and actively involved to create a better school culture.
Students in Athletics, Arts, Academics and CTE organizations were selected to lead the new Building Bears group and help all BHS students make the most out of their high school years.
Through one-on-one and group conversations, games and activities, we learned how to get out of our comfort zones, meet new people and learn about each other, said Scarlett Reyes.
“The training taught us how to be more inviting and open to all students as well as how to engage our peers so they would also be involved in school events,” said Lucas Galloway.
Angel Tovilla said, “Having school spirit not only impacts the students around you, it helps the community as whole."
