The Lady Bears Soccer Team will play Grapevine for the Bi-District Championship at 5 p.m. Friday, March 21 at Eagle Mountain High School. The girls ended their regular season play with a 6-3-3 district record, and 8-7-3 overall.

Players are: Leslie Salazar, Emma Reese, Claire Simons, Peyton LeonGuerrero, Naila Vega, Bella Finch, Trinity Corrales, Maetzin Cortez, Morgan Hagood, Jamiliegh Herring, Sabrina Pupalaikis, Dayanara Martinez, Isabella Sanchez, Lucy Beaird, Isabella Vasquez, Heidy Moncivais, Hannah Vera, Brennan Maitlen, Daniela Estrada, Audrey Valderas, Amy Parada and Sierra Kaspar.

Head Coach is Nathan Hamilton and assistants are Faith Morrow and Meagan Clark.

The Brewer High School boys’ soccer team will take on Argyle for the Bi-District Championship at 8 p.m. Friday, March 21 at Azle High School. The boys ended their regular season play with a 6-3-3 district record and 8-7-3 overall.

Players are: Braedyn Lunt, Cuauhtemoc Luna, Jonathan Cortez, Christian Copeland, Pablo Llanos, Santiago Romero, Joaquin Cedillo, Jordan Coon, Elio Garcia, Timoteo Nava, Josue Muco, Guadalupe Diaz, Leonel Torres, Ulises Montero, Lucas Cousin, Ignacio Silva, Angel Cardona, Helio Flores. Matthew Medina, Brandon Gutierrez, Damian Merida and Matthew Maya.   

Managers are: Cheikh Ndye, Fatima Diaz, Shania Cruz, Alitza Salas, Liliana Avelar and José Suárez.

Head Coach is Rafael Franco and assistants are Sinisa Vrvilo and Marcelo Hernández.

Superintendent Frank Molinar and the WSISD Board of Trustees recognized Brewer High School wrestlers Josue Cedeno and Caleb Cedeno who advanced to the State Wrestling Tournament.

Josue finished his Brewer wrestling career as the most decorated wrestler in program history. With more than 60 career wins in a very tough weight class for the last three seasons, Josue was a two-time District Champion, three-time Regional Qualifier and two-time State Qualifier. He finished in sixth place at the 2025 State Wrestling Tournament.  

Caleb was the District Champion in the 126 lb. weight division.  He won second place at Regionals and finished in the top 8 and was 1 match away from the podium at the State Tournament. He finished the season with a 28-5 record in his first season with Brewer Wrestling.

The Lady Bear Basketball team defeated Everman 53-42 Thursday, Feb. 13 to win the Area Championship, and Julie Kasonga scored her 1,000th career point! ! The girls will play at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Hardin Simmons University for the Regional Semi-Finals! Click here to watch the game.

Brewer Boys Basketball will play Colleyville Heritage for the Bi-District Playoff Championship at Byron Nelson High School Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. 

Players are: Jaxon Bundy, Calvin Rweyemamu, Isaiah Romero, Austin Haley, Nash Pena, Michael Washington, Braelon Orr, Braylen Brown, Jayden Jones and Zavier Prentice.

Head Coach is Jason Porostovsky, and assistants are Cornelius Lawhorn, Clifton Watkins, Michael Carr, Jaxon Frazier and Jasmond Johnese.

Managers are: Caden Cato, Zohaib Minhas and Jacob Dethample.
